It’s Friday! Let’s unwind!
Everyone is familiar with Rankin/Bass, the stop-motion animation company responsible for some of the most beloved Christmas specials ever made. Even today, children and adults eagerly await repeat viewings of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus, and Rudolph’s Shiny New Year.
But it wasn’t all sugar plums and candy canes at Rankin/Bass. Oh, no. They had a dark side.
Well…not that dark. This is from their feature length film, Mad Monster Party which, until The Nightmare Before Christmas, was THE feature length stop-motion animated Halloween film.
“It’s The Mummy!”
Have a groovy weekend!

I can hear it, but which skeleton is playing the Hammond B3?
Silly person. Skeletons don’t have organs.
