Groovy Friday – Joey Heatherton has got your number

JoeyHeatherton

It’s Friday!  Time for Some Joey Heatherton.

Joey Heatherton!  Look at her.  She’s a firecracker, small and powerful and ready to kick off your weekend.

Dancer, entertainer…she comes from a family of entertainers.  She first appeared on her father, Ray Heatherton’s children’s show, “The Merry Mailman.”  Oddly enough, his Wikipedia page is bigger than hers.

She pursued a career, dancing and performing with stars such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.  She accompanied Bob Hope on several trips to Vietnam, entertaining the troops.  She wasn’t Raquel, but like Raquel, she was a 60s bombshell and sex symbol.  More power to her.

We’ll pass over her brief troubles in the early 70s, when she stabbed a friend in the hand with a steak knife after he suggested that she was a has-been.

Have a groovy weekend!

As an extra bonus, here’s Joey selling mattresses.  Oh yeah!
