It’s Friday!
Last week I introduced you to Juliette and the Good Company. Despite the ethnically diverse group of unknown dancers in that clip, I heard from many that it was one of the “whitest” things they’d ever seen. I don’t know about that, but I wasn’t taking the chance of hearing it again this week. Sooo…
Here’s grooviness personified. Sammy Davis Jr.! And not just any Sammy. It’s the grooviest Sammy of all. The Sammy we love the best; post Rat Pack, hippie threads, extended ‘fro, six inch heels and a lit cigarette dangling from his fingers. Sure, there are dancers (as always) but they’re just window dressing. It’s Sam that brings the groovy here.
As an added bonus, there’s the brief appearance of Tom Jones and his unbelievable sideburns at the start of the clip.“Get it on, get it on, get it on. Tell it like it is!”
