Ronald D. Moore (writer and producer of “Outlander” and “Battlestar Galactica”) and Bryan Cranston (star of “Breaking Bad” and “Malcolm in the Middle”) are teaming up to bring Philip K. Dick’s short fiction to television in a BBC anthology series. Dick’s fiction is the basis for the science fiction movies like “Total Recall,” “Minority Report, ” and the iconic “Bladerunner,” as well as the current Amazon Prime hit series “The Man in the High Castle.”
The ten-part anthology series, Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K. Dick, will be written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated Ronald D. Moore (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Outlander”) and Michael Dinner(“Justified,” “Masters of Sex”), with Oscar-nominated Bryan Cranston (Trumbo, “Breaking Bad”) both executive producing and appearing in the series.
Each episode will be a sharp, thrilling standalone drama adapted and contemporised for global audiences by a creative team of British and American writers. The series will both illustrate Philip K. Dick’s prophetic vision and celebrate the enduring appeal of the prized sci-fi novelist’s work.
The drama will premiere on Channel 4 in the UK and will be distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television.
There is nowhere near enough good science fiction on television so we can’t wait to see this show.
