Did you all have a good Independence Day? Excellent! Let’s dive into a movie the guys truly loved, the unheralded Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. These days, this movie would be a “tentpole” franchise around which some studio would dump roughly ten bazillion dollars for sequels from here until the heat death of the universe. Do we get that? No, we do not. Because the world is run by black-hearted thugs the likes of whom figure prominently in this movie. Listen in!
