Today’s the first day of fall! Although the Phoenix temperature still averages at 95 degrees, it’s much cooler in the morning and late evening now. This is a great transitional style for those not-cold-enough yet not-hot-enough days that I’m hopeful to be experiencing soon. It’s also a piece I thought perfect for another back-to-school look: casual and chic.
This coral, boyfriend tee and these navy blue slacks were both purchased from Target. Sad to say, I paid full price for the pants – almost $30! I was in a pretty dire situation that day, and I’ll be honest, there are times where you will have to pay full price for clothes. I’ll be even more frank and say that I will do my best to avoid buying anything that isn’t on sale or clearance from Target ever again, because I was able to snag the top for only $5!! Yeah, that sounds more like it.
To offer my go to, relaxed look, I loosely tucked the shirt in and added cuffs to the pants. Back in the day I’m sure I would have been teased for “flooding”, but I like the way that slight tweak adds a bit of personality. These suede shoes (yes, I own more flats!) were also bought at Target years ago. I was ahead of the clear lenses trend when I got these glasses from retrocitysunglasses.com almost 5 years ago. I chose to add accessories with bold patterns to keep the outfit from being too bland.
Until next time, shop smart, stay creative, stay true to you, and always, always wear what you want!!
