It’s Friday!
“Groovy Friday” alumnus Bobby Freeman died this week at the too young age of 76. He leaves behind a legacy of two memorable pop hits, “Do You Wanna Dance” and “Do the Swim”. The second of those hits has been featured here twice. Do the Swim!
But let’s not forget his first Top Five hit, “Do You Wanna Dance.” Bobby Freeman was seventeen when he wrote and performed this song.
That song was later covered by The Beach Boys…
…The Mamas and the Papas…
…Bette Midler…
and The Ramones.
Thank you and God bless you, Bobby Freeman.
Have a groovy weekend!
