Any fan of the horror movie genre knows that the soundtrack is sometimes the scariest thing about a movie. Mark Korven writes music for horror movies and he commissioned a guitar maker friend to build the “apprehension engine” to produce sounds that will disturb, but without the sameness that sometimes occurs in the digital world.
