The hottest time of the year has reared it’s ugly head here in the valley of the sun. With the high temperatures averaging at 104 °F, finding appropriate clothes that cater to the hot weather can sometimes be taxing – especially for us women!
Ladies, crop tops will be your best friend this summer! Whether it’s fitted like my floral printed one, or casually hangs loose, I highly recommend you adding one to your wardrobe and styling it according to your personal liking.
Jeans and denim can be too hot of a material to wear, so these polyester high-wasted pants were the perfect match for this look. I love the elastic and the straps that can be tied into a bow either to the side or right in front. These were marked down to clearance price of $7 at Ross. Yes!!
Sandals are another must have. No one wants to work around with hot, sweaty feet in a pair of pumps or sneakers. These were also purchased at Ross during the same shopping trip. I almost left the store without them, because I couldn’t find them in a size 8.
Styling Tip: If a pair of shoes aren’t available in your shoe size, try getting them in a half size smaller, and wide. You’d be surprised to know that they may fit!
That was the case for these, and I wear them often. I opted for this gold watch and arm piece that I stumbled on at Charming Charlies. I honestly don’t know what it is, but that’s the fun part of styling! You can make it what you want! It’s now my new arm cuff, and I only paid $1 for it!! These earrings are from Aldo.
Add your favorite bag/purse/clutch – mine, of course, is a fringe crossbody – and you’re all set, babe! Don’t let the heat keep you from being creative with your day-to-day looks. And don’t forget to shop smart, wear what you want, and stay true to you!!
