    It’s Friday!

    This week we have another offering from our old friends at Scopitone.  In case you missed previous mentions of them here, The Scopitone Co. manufactured video jukeboxes in the 1960s for bars and restaurants as well as providing the video content for those boxes.  Sometimes the content was fairly innocuous, but more often than not, the folks at Scopitone packed their videos with as many near-naked women and inappropriately framed shots as they could.  This week’s offering is a perfect example.

    Meet January Jones!  No, no…not the contemporary actress.  This is January Jones the singer.  Unfortunately, all the internet has to offer on her is that she made several Scopitone videos and she is not the contemporary actress.  I suspect that she was an in-house creation.  There’s no record of her making…you know…records.  She never charted.  For all we know, Scopitone just hired a curvacious blond, put her in a bikini and had her lip-sync to some other woman’s vocal.

    I’m not saying that’s the case.  I’m just saying we don’t know.

    At any rate, enjoy the video and take it slow on those curves.
