How much better would Twitter be if it were more than vanity status updates, commercials, pictures of celebrities, and endless squabbling about politics? Well, it’d be utopia, wouldn’t it? Of course, smart people know you’ll never get utopia on this Earth, so we try for the next best thing: using social media platforms to make someone’s day a little brighter, easier, or (in my case) creepier.
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a story on Twitter, that started out with no clear direction and no certain end. My goal was to draw followers into the story, escalate the mystery every once in a while, and close out with an ending that would either make a reader shiver or say “Aw, man, no!” Was Twitter up to that task? Was I? Here’s my story — called The Go-Away House — in original tweeted form. You tell me!
