Here’s your prompt. I can’t wait to read what you write about this. Maybe it’s a page from a book or a print taken from real life. Could it be an illustration of an old legend or part of a training manual?

With scudding clouds and the air turned cold
the Grindelfolk light their fires
and sing all the songs from ancient times
of heroes and villains and liars
they regale the youngsters so they can learn
of the Copper Woods tales well told
where knights fought monsters in every clime
on their journeys each perilous and bold
The beastly Jabberwocky and the evil Welwa too
these creatures ruled the story
but honour would shine and the warriors knew
if their days were to end in glory
they should battle with a heart of gold
and end things with a glorious rhyme
