Here’s the prompt, the last one of 2018. Looks like someone’s done being Santa for the year. Or…maybe these belong to Santa himself?
Tell us what’s going on here! You have 100 words, either in the comments or at your own web place with a link back to us, please. We’d love to read your story!
And thank you for being part of our 100-word challenges all year. You’ve written some very cool stories that made us laugh or shiver or cry and sometimes all in the same story! We are grateful for you and wish you only the best in the coming year!

I’d heard rumblings that someone had taken snapshots of my pyjamas and posted them in the local newspaper’s entertainment section.
The first consequence was a note, dropped by carrier pigeon, from the other side of the valley informing me that Rebecca was no longer considering me to be her date to the Sadie Hawkins dance – sheer embarrassment was her stated reason.
The second consequence was the immediate need to move my outside clothes line back inside although it galled me to have to do this.
The third and final consequence was to place the bear traps back where they belonged.
