Here is the prompt for the week. I bet you have one heck of a story building in your mind right now. That storm cloud has a certain looming look to it, don’t you think? Like perhaps it’s not entirely a thing of nature? Or perhaps it’s just a great storm and the real story is in one of those high-rise buildings.
You know the drill, yes? You get 100 words, no more and no less. Put your story in the comments here or at your own web home with a link back to us, please. Tell us your story!

Ah yes, dear Toronto, centre of the country and self-proclaimed Centre of the Universe. Reviled (“they’re just jealous”) by the rest of Canada, except for British Columbia on the Pacific coast and Newfoundland out in the Atlantic. To be honest, nobody really knows what the heck they think. Must be the salty ocean air they all breathe.
Anyway, back to the Queen’s city. When the alien invasion began, most cities naturally evacuated, a tumble of terrified residents running for the hills. Torontonians held out massive welcome signs. God forbid that Montreal or Vancouver might be invaded ahead of them.
