Fiction Friday 100-Word Challenge: Some Sheet Music, Maybe?

Here is our prompt for this weekend. It’s possible your story this week might be a song or a poem. That’s just fine, though. A story is still a story no matter what form it takes. So long as there is a beginning a middle and an end, we are glad to travel through it with you!

Come and tell us the tale this picture tells. You have but 100 words, which you can put in the comments of this post or at your own web site with a link back to us, please. Sing out, friends!

Margaret was in France for work as a stewardess and Phil was in the Navy. They married young but took the chance to build a life despite the flying and the months away at sea. Margaret landed in Paris 48 hours before Germany surrounded the city and cut off her escape. She joined the resistance and used the letters to communicate to her husband. My hand made contact and I opened the envelope revealing music. Written on the back was the letter decoded and when I realized what happened I was awestruck.
